It all started with a trip to the market, in an old station wagon.
In the mid-seventies, Fun Time Travel Company founder, Charlene Groat, assembled a group of her sorority sisters and guided an excursion to the Farmer's Market, in
Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. She enjoyed the experience of getting people together and having a lot of fun so much, she made a business of it!

Before long, as Charlene's friends brought more of their friends along for these great adventures, she needed a van. By 1980, Charlene had to move up again, and the first
Fun Bus was born!

While operations began modestly in Charlene's dining room, business expanded rapidly. Today, just the sign over Fun Time Travel's Oshawa location is as large as their original office!

For many of our clients, Fun Bus is their first travel experience. Not only do they often develop lasting friendships with their fellow travelers, our staff is on a first name basis with most of them! Over the years, our veteran Fun Bus patrons indicated a desire to branch off into other forms of travel.
To serve their growing needs, Fun Time Travel Company was established in 1987. Now we can offer you a broad range of travel options - from day tours and weekend getaways on the Fun Bus, to more exotic vacations anywhere in the world - all through the Fun Time Travel Company.

OUR STAFF

The Fun Time Travel Company staff is a group of experienced professionals, dedicated to serving your every holiday need. Charlene still insists on being the "hands-on" coordinator, ensuring attention to the smallest detail (her claim to fame!).
Fun Time's Vice-President, Steve Groat (Charlene's son) is a Travel and Tourism graduate. Steve's expertise and professional rapport is surpassed only by the great lengths he goes to find the best options for each of his travel clients.

For groups and organizations, Fun Time Travel Company is Durham Region's group and tour specialist. We can organize airfare, entertainment, hotels, attractions and points of interest for school groups, sports teams, organizations, and fundraisers.
